Low SFOC Version Engine AX31L

Engine model:“AX31L(MCR:749kW/1018PS)” is the derated version of the engine model AX31(1323kw/1800PS), which has been applied as the main engine for 499 GT cargo vessels since 2010. This derated engine was developed to comply with recent need of low load operation by replacing the turbocharger with the high efficiency type(MET22SRC) and re-designing fuel injection timing. Consequently, fuel consumption at 749kW can be reduced by about 3% compared with AX31.

Low SFOC Version Engine K28BL

Engine model:“K28BL(MCR:735kW/1000PS)” is the derated version of the engine model K28B(1029kW (1400PS)), which has been applied for Tuna fishing vessels, Coastal cargos and tankers for almost 30 years. K28BL was developed to comply with the recent need of low load operation by replacing the turbocharger with the high efficiency type(MET22SRC) and raising P Max value. Consequently, the fuel oil consumption at 735kW can be reduced by about 4% compared with KB28B.

Injection Booster

“Injection Booster” is the fuel consumption reduction system at middle and low output range for mechanical control diesel engines. Injection Booster bodies are installed between the fuel injection pumps and the cam roller tappets, and they accelerate the fuel pump plunger speed by hydraulic pressure. Consequently, fuel injection pressure will be raised for optimum combustion.
