Panama Maritime Authority, a leader in ship registration, has one of the most competitive port systems in the world. It is responsible for a range of functions that include managing, promoting, regulating, planning and executing all strategies, plans and programs relating to the operation and development of the maritime sector. It manages the world’s largest ship registry and is responsible for enforcing applicable regulations related to crews, training and seafarers certification and watchkeeping.
