Product introduction

Wärtsilä 25 Engine

The Wärtsilä 25 is a modern medium-speed 4-stroke marine engine based on the reliable and proven Wärtsilä 31 modular technology platform. The engine is available in 6–9L cylinder configurations, with a power output ranging from 1.7 to 3.4 MW. The Wärtsilä 25 offers outstanding fuel flexibility with diesel, dual-fuel LNG and ammonia versions available.

Wärtsilä 32 Methanol Engine

Wärtsilä’s methanol-fuelled engines have powered the Stena Line ferry Stena Germanica since 2015. Now ship owners can take advantage of this long-established methanol expertise with all the state-of-the-art features of one of Wärtsilä’s most widely used engine platforms – offering a viable and proven next step on the path to decarbonisation.

Wärtsilä HY

A hybrid system on a ship combines an energy storage system – a vessel battery - and a conventional engine. Its foremost benefit is that it allows the engine to run on optimal load because the battery will absorb many of the load fluctuations and acts as spinning reserve. The Wärtsilä HY is suitable for applications in a variety of segments, including offshore vessels, tugs, ferries, and merchant vessels, as well as for retrofits of existing installations.

Fleet Optimisation Solution (FOS)

Wärtsilä fleet optimisation solution (FOS) integrates systems and communication between ships, shore offices, and ports. It provides a shared digital platform for all industry stakeholders to exchange data and combines cloud-based analytics, AI together with intelligent automation to monitor, manage and optimise everyday processes onboard and onshore.

Wärtsilä Airguard (Two Pipe) System

The Wärtsilä Airguard two pipe system has been developed to significantly reduce the scope of installation work and limit time in dry-dock. It uses the existing lube oil system and the auxiliary equipment, which reduces cost and saves equipment space. The Wärtsilä Airguard two pipe system comes with an innovative oil circulator.

EvoTube®

While based on a conventional stern tube, the EvoTube® is a significantly simplified system with fewer components than a conventional stern tube system. The EvoTube® concept is suitable for both oil and water lubrication systems, also facilitating future conversion from oil to water lubrication systems, effectively environmentally future-proofing vessels anytime during the vessel’s operational life.
