Since its foundation in May 1980, the Korea Marine Equipment Association (KOMEA) has been making a significant contribution to the advancement of Korea's shipbuilding and marine equipment industries. In particular, with the inauguration of Korea Marine Equipment Global Service Center (KOMEC) in 2010, KOMEA is bringing ocean value chain together for closer global cooperation activities, shaping the future of the marine equipment industry. The 240-odd KOMEA member companies account for roughly 80% of Korea's total marine equipment trade volume, showcasing value of KOMEA existence.
