In Transit Cleaning of Hulls (ITCH)

The In Transit Cleaning of Hulls, abbreviated as ITCH, is an easy to use robot that can be operated with just two ship crews onboard while the vessel is in transit. The full ITCH system comprises of the ITCH and a winch which can either be electric or air. Based on the feedback from existing customers, the routine operation of ITCH onboard vessel has consistently contributed to an average of 2 to 5 % savings in fuel consumption across the fleet, by simply maintaining a smooth hull.
