Since 1919, when we manufactured Japan's first domestic marine diesel engine, we have been providing products and services that meet the evolving needs of our customers worldwide. Our main product lines include main engines, generator engines, and the Z-PELLER (azimuth thruster). As part of the IHI Group's commitment to the ammonia value chain, we developed an Ammonia Dual Fuel engine in 2024. We will continue to innovate and contribute to the maritime industry by developing energy-efficient and environmentally friendly products.

Low Speed Diesel engine　Model:6M34RGT

Since the delivery of our first 6M34RGT engine in 2020, we have secured orders for 30 units. Leveraging our expertise in low- and medium-speed engines, we have significantly improved fuel efficiency, reliability, and durability compared to conventional engines.

Electric Propulsion Z-PELLER

The Z-PELLER holds a strong market share in both domestic and international markets for tugboats and supply boats as an azimuth thruster that requires no rudder. To address market demands, we have developed a Z-PELLER that can be equipped with an electric motor.

Ammonia Dual Fuel engine Model:6L28ADF

The 6L28ADF Ammonia Dual Fuel marine engine allows for up to 95% mixing ratio with ammonia and marine diesel oil, reducing GHG emissions by over 90% compared to burning marine diesel oil. The first engine was installed in a tugboat and delivered in August 2024.
